A: 기업 입주 공간의 규모는 어떻게 되나요?
Z: 일종의 아파트형 공장이라고 생각하면 된다. 지상 2층 규모로 연면적 1977평방미터 규모로 조성된다. 10개 정도의 기업이 입주가능하다. 제주테크노파크는 기능성 식품 플랫폼을 구축하고 장비를 확충할 계획이다.
A: 수요조사는 어떻게 진행되고 있나요?
Z: 수요조사는 제주도내와 도외의 식품과 화장품 등 바이오 분야 기업 200곳 이상을 대상으로 실시되고 있다. 서면과 전화조사를 통해서 기업현황과 입주 희망 수요 등을 파악해서 진행할 예정이다.
A: 현재 용암해수단지의 현황과 기능은 어떻게 작용되고 있죠?
Z: 단지 내에 용암해수센터 1호관과 2호관을 운영중이다. 여기에 원료생산시설과 의약품제조 품질관리기준(GMP) 시설, 음료 생산 시설 등을 갖추고 있다.
A: 다양한 시설들을 갖추고 기업의 성장을 뒷받침해주고 있군요.
기업 입주 현황은 어떻게 되죠?
Z: 단지 내 분양 부지에 8개의 기업이 입주해 있다. 그리고 센터내에 임대기업 12개가 입주해 있다.
A: 그럼 용암해수단지와 관련해서 제주테크노파크의 역할과 기능은 무엇인가요?
Z: 제주테크노파크는 용암해수를 공급하고 기술지원을 담당하고 있다.
용암해수 공급현황을 살펴보면 2024년 기준으로 연간 18만톤에 달한다.
음료와 식품, 화장품 분야를 넘어서 다양한 소재 개발로 용암해수를 활용한 사업영역이 확대되고 있다.
A: 추가로 기업들이 입주되면 더 많은 혁신 제품들이 개발되겠군요.
Z: 제주도는 2024년부텅 한국지질자원연구원과 함께 용암해수 연구를 진행중이다.
그리고 해양바이오 기능성 원료화 센터를 구축하고 RE100 산업단지 시범사업 등을 추진하고 있다.

Jeju Island has established the "J-Marine Bio Valley Innovation Growth Plan" to grow lava seawater into a new "Blue Gold" and use it as a driving force for innovative growth in the marine industry. And as a follow-up measure, it has invested 11.77 billion KRW to promote a project to diversify the lava seawater mineral-based functional food (liquid seasoning) industry from September 2024.

Z: Think of it as a kind of apartment-type factory. It will be built with a two-story building and a total floor area of 1977 square meters. About 10 companies can move in. Jeju Techno Park plans to build a functional food platform and expand equipment.
A: How is the demand survey going?
Z: The demand survey is being conducted on more than 200 companies in the bio field such as food and cosmetics in and out of Jeju Island. Through written and telephone surveys, the company's status and the desired demand to move in will be identified.
A: How is the current status and function of the lava sea water complex working?
Z: Lava Seawater Center Units 1 and 2 are in operation in the complex. They also have raw material production facilities, pharmaceutical quality control standards (GMP) facilities, and beverage production facilities.

Z: There are 8 companies located on the sale site in the complex. And there are 12 tenant companies located in the center.

Looking at the supply status of lava seawater, it reaches 180,000 tons per year as of 2024.
Beyond the beverage, food, and cosmetics fields, the business area using lava seawater is expanding due to the development of various materials.

Z: Jeju Island has been conducting lava seawater research with the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources since 2024.
In addition, it has established a marine bio functional raw materialization center and is promoting RE100 industrial complex pilot projects.
