Z: 이 제도는 기업들이 제주에서 업무와 휴식을 취하면서 지역사회와 함께 지속가능한 가치를 만들어가는 새로운 워케이션 문화를 정착시키기 위해서 마련되었다.
기업들은 제주에서 일정기간 워케이션을 진행하면서 플로깅이나 봉사활동 등 사회공헌활동에 참여를 하면된다.
This system is designed to establish a new culture of work where companies create sustainable values with their communities while taking a break from work in Jeju.
Companies can participate in social contribution activities such as plogging and volunteer activities while conducting work in Jeju for a certain period of time.
A: 사회공헌활동이 ESG 활동의 일부가 되는 것은 맞다. 하지만 어떤 인센티브가 주어지는가?

Z: 그러면 제주도청에서 인증한 제주워케이션 ESG 활동 확인서를 발급해준다.
확인서는 기업의 ESG 경영 실천 증빙자료로 활용될 예정이다.
기업경영평가에서 가점 등 실질적인 인센티브를 받을 수가 있다.
Then, Jeju Government will issue a Jeju WORKATION ESG activity certificate certified by the Jeju Provincial Government.
The confirmation letter will be used as evidence for companies' ESG management practices.
The busines company can receive practical incentives such as additional points in corporate management evaluation.
A: 제주의 워케이션을 통해서 일도하고 휴식도 즐기고, 거기에 더해서 사회공헌활동과 더불어서 EGS 인증서를 통해서 기업경영평가에 가점이 주어지는 1석 4조의 효과이군요.
EGS 인증 활동에 참여한 실제 기업사례가 있나요?
People can work and relax through Jeju's workation, and in addition to social contribution activities, it's the effect of four birds with one stone that gives additional points for corporate management evaluation through the EGS certificate.
Are there any actual company cases that have participated in EGS certification activities?
Z: 동원F&B가 첫 사례이다.
4월 17일부터 19일까지 제주에서 워케이션을 진행하면서 표선해변에서 해양플로깅 활동을 전개했다. 그리고 제주로부터 제주워케이션 EGS 인증을 받았다.
Dongwon F&B is the first case.
From April 17th to 19th, it conducted beach cleaning activities at Pyoseon Beach while conducting waterlogging activities in Jeju. And the company received Jeju EGS certification from Jeju.
A: 다른 기업들에게도 큰 메리트로 다가올 것으로 보이네요.

Z: 제주도청은 이를 시작으로 기업 단위 EGS 참여를 확산시키고 다른 기업들의 참여를 이끌어내기 위한 모범 사례로 적극 홍보해 나갈 계획이다.

Z: 2024년 12월 국내 해외 여행 동향보고서에 따르면 2024년 제주워케이션 참여인구는 39,744명이었다. 이를 바탕으로 한 지역 경제 소비유발효과는 92억원을 넘는 것으로 확인되었다.
국내 1인당 평균 여행일수 2.94일에 평균 총소비금액 23만 2천원을 기준 적용한 수치이다.
According to the domestic overseas travel trend report in December 2024, the number of people participating in Jeju Workation in 2024 was 39,744.
Based on this, it was confirmed that the regional economic consumption inducement effect exceeded 9.2 billion won.
The figure is applied based on the average total consumption amount of 232,000 won on the average of 2.94 days of travel per person in Korea.
