제주도청은 지난달초에 개최된 ‘블루카본에 대한 세계은행 글로벌 지식협력신탁기금(WB KPOK) 지식 교류 행사’에서 제주의 선도적인 블루카본 정책을 국제사회에 선보였다.

The Jeju Provincial Government presented Jeju's leading blue carbon policy to the international community at the World Bank's Global Knowledge Cooperation Trust Fund (WB KPOK) Knowledge Exchange Event for Blue Carbon held early last month.

세계은행과 6개국 정부 관계자 등 50여명이 제주를 찾은바 있다.

정책의 성공사례와 극복과정, 그리고 지역사회와의 협업모델에 대한 질의응답이 활발하게 이루어졌다.
무엇보다 세미-맹그로브숲 조성사업에 큰 관심을 보였다.
On the first day, participants were introduced to respond to changes in Jeju's marine environment and efforts to discover blue carbon policies.
Q&A was actively conducted on success stories and overcoming processes of policy and collaboration models with local communities.
Above all, he showed great interest in the semi-mangrove forest development project.
A: 맹그로브숲 조성사업은 열대와 아열대 지역 해안 식물로 맹그로브 수종분포와 변화가 예상되는 사업이다. 탄소를 흡수하는 효과도 매우 크다.
The mangrove forest development project is a coastal plant in tropical and subtropical areas, and the distribution and change of mangrove species are expected. It also has a great carbon absorption effect.
Z: 참가자들은 사업의 추진배경과 더불어 지역사회 상생방안, 그리고 지역의 자원을 활용한 탄소저감 추진노력에 큰 관심을 보였다.
제주도청은 신재생에너지 사업과 그린수소 정책 역시 공유했다.
이외에도 남방큰돌고래 생태법인 정책도 소개되었다.
Participants showed great interest in the background of the project, the community win-win plan, and the efforts to reduce carbon using local resources.
The Jeju Provincial Government also shared renewable energy projects and green hydrogen policies.
