제주가 추진하는 민간 우주산업 육성을 위해서 정부에 우주산업 클러스터 지정을 건의한다.

Z: 2025년 10월에 나온다. 용역을 마무리하면 우주항공청에 클러스터 지정을 건의할 예정이다.
It will be released in October 2025. When the service is completed, we will propose the designation of the cluster to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Z: 우주항공청은 우주산업 클러스터에 2030년까지 총3808억원을 지원한다.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration will provide a total of 380.8 billion won to the space industry cluster by 2030.
A: 그럼 이제까지 우주산업 클러스터로 지정된 곳이 있나요?

Z: 2024년 우주발사체 특화지구로 전남을 지정했고, 위성 특화지구로 경남을, 그리고 연구와 인재개발 특화지구로 대전을 지정했다.

Z: 제주도는 ‘우주항공 스타트업 육성’을 목표로 클러스터 지정에 나설 계획이다.
클러스터로 지정되면 하원테크노캠퍼스에 기반시설과 산업단지 조성에 따른 국비를 지원받을 수 있다.

Z: 우주개발 진흥법에 근거하여 투자진흥지구로 지정할 수 있다. 그러면 세제감면 혜택을 받을 수 있다. 제주도는 하원테크노캠퍼스와 제주한화우주센터를 중심으로 민간 우주산업의 거점으로 도약할 수 있도록 여러 정책들을 펼친다. 국제협력을 확대하고, 우주산업 인프라도 조성하고 도민이 참여하는 우주산업 생태계 구축에 노력한다.

A: 한화시스템의 프로젝트는 어떻게 진행되고 있나요? How is Hanwha System's project going?
Z: 한화시스템은 하원테크노캠퍼스 3만평방미터 부지에 지상 2층의 건축물, 제주한화우주센터를 설립하고 있다. 2025년 10월에 준공될 예정이다. 31% 정도 공정률이 진행되었다.
Hanwha System is building the Jeju Hanwha Space Center, a two-story building on the 30,000 square meter site of the House Techno Campus. It is scheduled to be completed in October 2025. About 31 percent of the process was completed.
A: 한화우주센터는 얼마의 비용이 투자되는 프로젝트이죠?

Z: 제주한화우주센터 건립에는 1000억원의 투자비가 투입된다.
현재 신생기업인 페리지에어로스페이스 등이 입주할 계획이다.
이 외에도 제주의 한림읍 상대리에는 국내 최대 규모의 민간 우주 지상국이 들어서게 된다.
이와 관련해서는 민간 우주기업 컨텍은 2023년부터 저궤도 위성 관제용 안테나 9기를 운영 중이다. 2025년 상반기까지 3기를 추가해서 총 12기를 운영할 계획이다.
