Z: 금번 3번째 해저케이블은 완도와 동제주간 해저 98km를 연결한다. 이번 사업을 통해서 육지에서 제주로의 전력공급 용량이 360메가와트에서 600메가와트로 확대된다. 공급예비율은 14.3%에서 30.8%로 대폭 상승하게 된다.
The third submarine cable will connect Wando and Dongjeju to 98 km of the seabed.
Through this project, the power supply capacity from land to Jeju will be expanded from 360 megawatts to 600 megawatts. The supply reserve ratio will rise sharply from 14.3% to 30.8%.

Z: 한전은 HVDC 전력공급 용량 확대로 인해서 제주도 내 비싼 발전기에서 생산되는 전력구입량을 줄일 수 있게 된다. 이는 연간 약200억원의 전력구입비 절감이 기대되고, 전력계통 취약지역인 완도의 전력 공급 선로를 여러 갈래 공급이 가능하도록 하여 전력공급의 신뢰도 또한 증가한 셈이다.
KEPCO will be able to reduce the amount of electricity purchased by expensive generators in Jeju Island due to the expansion of HVDC power supply capacity.
This is expected to reduce power purchase costs by about 20 billion won per year, and the reliability of power supply has also increased by allowing the supply of power lines in Wando, a vulnerable area of the power system.
