Z: 헌법소원을 제기한 사회단체는 ‘살기좋은 제주도 만들기’로 차고지증명제가 제주에서 차량을 등록하는 사람을 합리적인 이유 없이 차별하기 때문에 평등권을 침해하고 재산권의 본질적 내용도 침해한다고 주장하고 있다. 여기에 차고지를 확보하지 못한 경우 차량등록을 제한해서 거주이전의 자유와 행복추구권도 침해한다고 주장하고 있다.
The social group that filed the constitutional petition argues that the garage certificate system violates the right to equality and violates the essential content of property rights because it discriminates against people who register vehicles in Jeju without a reasonable reason.

올해 내에 폐지에 준하는 개선책을 마련하겠다는 것이 제주도의 입장이다.

Z: 사건접수 후 180일 이내에 선고되기 때문에 내년 상반기 중 결과가 나올 것으로 예상된다.
