Z: 제주도는 이렇게 천혜의 자연자원을 바탕으로 바이오산업 육성하고 있다.
이에 바이오산업 기반을 다지고 지질자원 연구를 강화하기 위한 정책을 위해 노력하고 있다.
Jeju Island is fostering the bio industry based on such natural resources.
To meet the demand of this, Jeju government is working on policies to lay the foundation for the bio-industry and strengthen geological resource research.
A: 제주는 유네스코 지질공원이기도 하다. Jeju is also a UNESCO geological park.
Z: 제주도와 한국지질자원연구원은 지난 8월 13일 업무협약을 맺었다.
지질자원 연구를 통해서 미래산업 발판을 마련하고자 하는 업무협약이다.

The Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources is a national research institute established in 1948.
This researcher is an organization that investigates land and seafloor geology at home and abroad, explores, develops, and utilizes underground resources, and also responds to geological disasters and global environmental changes.
A: 제주도청은 바이오사업을 육성하기 위한 전략을 작년에 발표한 바 있다.
The Jeju Provincial Government announced a strategy to foster the bio business last year.
Z: 그렇다. 이번 업무협약은 ‘제주 바이오산업 육성전략’과 맞물린 것이다.
이 전략에 이어서 제주-해양바이오밸리 혁신성장 계획을 추진하기 위한 하나의 트랙으로 업무협약이 체결된 것이다.
Yes, this agreement is in line with the 'Jeju Bio Industry Promotion Strategy'.
Following this strategy, a business agreement was signed as a track to promote the Jeju-Marine Bio Valley Innovation Growth Plan.
