Where is the cruise terminal in Jeju?
Z: 제주도내 크루즈 전용 터미널은 제주항과 서귀포시 강정 민군복합형 관광미항에 있다.
여기에 무인 자동심사대를 설치할 예정이다.
Cruise terminals in Jeju Island are located at Jeju Port and Gangjeong Civil-Military Complex Tourist Port in Seogwipo City.
An unmanned automatic examination table will be installed here.
A: 현재 출입국 심사와 관련된 시설은 어떤 상황인가요?
What is the current status of the facilities related to immigration?
Z: 제주항과 강정항에 모두 24개의 출입국 검사대를 갖추고 있다.
하지만 전담 인력이 부족해서 12개만 운영되고 있다.
There are 24 immigration checkpoints in both Jeju and Gangjeong ports.
However, due to the lack of dedicated personnel, only 12 are in operation.
A: 무인자동심사대를 총 몇 대를 설치할 계획인가?
How many automatic immigration tables is the government planning to install in total?
Z: 각각 제주항 7개, 강정항 7개씩 총 14개이다.
법무부에서 크루즈 관광객 대상 출국과 입국 무인자동심사대를 설치하기 위해서 기획재정부와 2025년 예산을 확보하기 위해서 노력 중이다.
There are 14 in total, 7 in Jeju Port and 7 in Gangjeong Port, respectively.
The Ministry of Justice is trying to secure a budget for 2025 with the Ministry of Strategy and Finance to set up an automatic immigration checkpoint for cruise tourists.
A: 무인자동심사대를 설치하게 되면 어느 정도의 시간을 단축할 수 있을것으로 보고 있나?
How much time do you think it can shorten if it installs an automatic immigration table?
Z: 우선 크루즈 관광객의 제주 평균 체류시간은 4.23시간이다.
2017년에는 6.17시간이었다.
이후 해마다 감소하고 있다.
올해 제주에 입항한 크루즈 관광객의 경우 8시간까지 입국이 가능했다.
하지만 입출국 심사에 3시간 가까이 걸렸다.
First of all, the average stay time for cruise tourists in Jeju is 4.23 hours.
In 2017, it was 6.17 hours. Since then, it has been decreasing year by year.
Cruise tourists who entered Jeju this year were allowed to enter the country for up to eight hours.
However, it took nearly three hours to go through immigration.
A: 그러면 실제 제주 체류 시간은 3~4시간 정도이군요. 이유가 뭐죠?
Then the actual stay in Jeju is about 3 to 4 hours. What's the reason?
Z: 크루즈 관광객이 수천명 몰리면서 출입국에 시간이 많이 소요된 탓이다.
크루즈 관광객 3천명이 입국할시 여권/검역/세관 검사에 2시간 이상이 소요되고 있다.
출국때도 4시간 이상 소요되고 있다.
This is because it took a lot of time to get in and out of the country as thousands of cruise tourists flocked.
When 3,000 cruise tourists enter the country, it takes more than two hours to check their passports, quarantine, and customs. It also takes more than four hours to leave the country.
