Part 2

Z: RE100은 Renewable Electricity 100%라는 의미이다.
우리가 직면하고 있는 기후위기에 대응하기 위한 글로벌 캠페인이다.
기업들이 사용하는 전력량 100%를 2050년까지 풍력, 태양광 등 재생에너지 전력으로 대체하는 것으로 자발적인 캠페인이라는 특징이 있다.
RE100 means Renewable Electricity 100%.
It is a global campaign to respond to the climate crisis we are facing.
It is characterized by a voluntary campaign by replacing 100% of the electricity used by companies with renewable energy such as wind and solar power by 2050.

A: 그럼 RE100캠핑에는 어떤 사람들이 참여했나요?
   Then what kind of people participated in the RE100 camping?

Z: 이번 행사에는 RE100의 100을 상징하는 도민과 관광객 100명이 참여했다.
이번 캠핑에서는 풍력발전기와 이동형 에너지저장장치를 통해 전력을 공급했다.
100 people of Jeju residents and tourists representing RE100's participated in this event.
In this camping, power was supplied through wind turbines and mobile energy storage devices.

A: 와우, 정말 친환경 캠핑이군요. Wow, it's such an eco-friendly camping.

Z: 이외에도 기후위기 시대 친환경 체험활동들이 제공되었다.
폐뚜겅을 활용한 키링 만들기,  폐마대를 활용한 텀블러 가방 만들기 등.   이외에도 사운드워킹, 전기자전거 투어, 업사이클링 상품 전시와 함께 제주 로컬푸드도 제공되었다.
In addition, eco-friendly experience activities were provided in the era of the climate crisis.
Making a key ring using a waste tab of bottle,
Making a tumbler bag using a waste bag etc.
In addition, Jeju local food was also provided along with sound walking, electric bicycle tours, and upcycling product exhibitions.

A: 단순히 재생에너지를 활용한 캠핑뿐 아니라 친환경 프로그램도 같이 운영되었군요.
Not only camping using renewable energy, but also an eco-friendly program was operated.

Z: 또한 캠핑 참가자들은 세계유산축전 제주 워킹투어 1구간인 거문오름 5.5km 코스에 참여했다. 행사 기간동안 참가자들에게는 그린수소버스가 셔틀버스로 제공되기도 했다.
In addition, the campers participated in the 5.5 km course of Geomunoreum, the first section of the Jeju Walking Tour at the World Heritage Festival.
During the event, participants were provided with a green hydrogen bus as a shuttle bus.

A: 말그대로 100% 친환경적이군요. It's literally 100% eco-friendly.
Z: 참가자들에게 편의성을 제공하면서 탄소절감을 실현했군요. 제주관광공사와 제주에너지공사는 글로벌 친환경 제주관광 인식 제고를 위해서 더욱 협력을 강화해 나갈 것이다.
We all have realized carbon reduction by providing convenience to the participants.
The Jeju Tourism Organization and the Jeju Energy Corporation will further strengthen cooperation to raise global awareness of eco-friendly Jeju tourism.
