A: 제주공항은 세계에서 가장 분주한 공항 중 하나이다.
제주는 섬이다보니, 제주를 방문하는 관문은 공항과 항만이 된다.
예전부터 제주공항의 수용력은 한계에 다달아 제2공항 건설 이야기가 나온지 꽤 되었다.
현재 어떤 절차를 진행하고 있는가?
Jeju Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world.

Jeju Airport's capacity has reached its limit since the past, and it has been a while since the talk of building a second airport came out.
What procedures are currently in progress?

Z: 국토부는 조만간 제주 제2공항 기본계획을 고시할 계획이라고만 밝혔다.
하지만 계속해서 고시 기간이 늦춰지고 있다.
최근 정부가 제주 제2공항의 총 사업비 협의를 마무리했다.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has announced that it plans to announce the basic plan for Jeju's second airport soon.
However, the notice date continues to be delayed.
Recently, the government concluded a consultation on the total project cost of Jeju 2nd Airport.

A: 제2공항의 총 사업비는 얼마로 예측하고 있죠?
How much does it estimate the total project cost for Airport 2?

Z: 6조 8900억원이다.
8월 20일 국토교통부가 기획재정부와 총사업비 협의를 끝낸 수치이다.
It's 6.89 trillion won.
On August 20, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport finished consulting with the Ministry of Strategy and Finance on the total project cost.

A: 사업추진이 길어지면서 최초 총사업비와 수치가 달라진 것 같다.
It seems that the total project cost and figures have changed as the project has been carried out for a long time.

Z: 그렇다. 당초에는 4조 7800억원의 총사업비 예측했다. 하지만 그동안 달라진 물가, 금리 등을을 반영해서 최종적으로 6조 8900억원으로 협의를 마쳤다.
Yes, it was initially estimated that the total project cost was 4.78 trillion won.
However, the consultation was finally completed at 6.89 trillion won, reflecting the changed prices, inflation and interest rates.

A:  와우 그럼 당초 계획보다 2조 1100억원의 사업비가 증가한 셈이네요.
  Wow, that means the project cost is 2.11 trillion won higher than originally planned.
Z: 44%나 증가한 셈이다. 그리고 이 국가인프라 프로젝트는 1단계와 2단계로 나뉘어 추진될 계획이다.
That's a 44 percent increase.
And the national infrastructure project is planned to be carried out in two stages.

A: 아무래도 사이즈가 있는 프로젝트이다보니 두 개의 단계로 나누어 추진될 예정이군요.
Since it's a project with a big size, it's going to be carried out in two stages.
