Z: 제주에서는 이미 자율주행 자동차가 시범으로 운행되고 있다.
이번에는 노선버스형 자율주행버스가 처음으로 운행되고 있다.
Self-driving cars are already being piloted in Jeju.
This time, the route bus-type autonomous bus is operating for the first time.

A: 그동안 자율차의 시범운행을 바탕으로 정식적인 노선버스가 자율 주행으로 운영되는 것이군요. 언제부터 시행되고 있죠?
So the official route bus will be operated autonomously based on the pilot operation of the autonomous car. Since when has it been in effect?

Z: 2024년 7월 24일부터이다.
일명 ‘탐라자율차 시범운행 서비스’를 개시했다.
이 서비스는 국토교통부의 ‘자율주행차 시범운행지구 서비스 지원 사업’에 선정되면서 추진되고 있는 사업이다.
It is from July 24, 2024.
It has launched a so-called 'Tamra Autonomous Vehicle Pilot Operation Service'.
This service is being promoted as it was selected by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for the 'Project to Support the Service of the Pilot Driving Zone for Self-Driving Vehicles'.

A: 자율주행차량은 안전성이 가장 최우선 과제이다. 이에 대한 방안은 잘 마련되어 있는거죠?
Safety is the top priority for self-driving cars. Is the plan well prepared?

Z: 제주도청은 서비스 개시를 위해서 한정적으로 운수면허를 발급하고 사전 운행 테스트를 거쳤다.
The Jeju Provincial Government issued a limited transportation license and went through a pre-driving test to start the service.

A: 운행 구간은 어떻게 되나요? What is the route of the bus?

Z: 자율주행버스 구간은 제주시청과 공항 그리고 서귀포시청 1청사 구간이다.
58km 구간 총 17개의 정류소를 거치게 된다.
그리고 제주시청과 제주공항 구간은 9.3km구간으로 5개 정류소를 거치게 된다.
The self-driving bus section is between Jeju City Hall, Airport, and Seogwipo City Hall 1.
It will go through a total of 17 stops for a 58-kilometer section.
And the section between Jeju City Hall and Jeju Airport will be 9.3km and go through five stops.
